On 19-23rd May 2025, representatives from project partners Global Omnium, Aquafin and Isle Utilities attended the IWA Resource Recovery Conference 2025 in Leeuwarden (The Netherlands).
Hosted by Wetsus, in collaboration with Delft University of Technology and Wageningen University and Research, the conference celebrated over 15 years of research and successful upscaling of resource recovery practices, bringing together professionals from academia, industry, investors, policymakers, and key stakeholders across the entire value chain.
Our coordinator Dr. Feliu Sempere Nàcher from Global Omnium delivered a keynote presentation, titled “Valorisation of Brines and Scrap Metals for the Circular Economy in the Water Sector”, as part of the Salt and Brines session, showcasing the potential of the ELS technology in brine valorisation and coagulant production.
